Some of my observations regarding high school football across the US from working with this website:
High school football is big in Texas…really big. Some of these schools facilities, websites, weight rooms, coaching staffs, and media coverage are better than many colleges in other states. The media coverage and websites dedicated to Texas high school football is overwhelming.
High school football media coverage is also big in Ohio and in some of the Southern states.
Most high schools have websites, but not all high schools have a website for their football program. States that have a lot of schools with (updated) football only websites are: Texas, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, and South Carolina.
There are a lot of schools out there with sites that are dead links or haven’t been updated since 2003.
Speaking of high school, or school district websites, I’m surprised at the number of schools on their own website who do not list an address or a phone number. Not even a phone number! Who does their website and does anybody ever check it?
Teams from the South are more inclined to have their cheerleaders included in their team pictures.
The USA Today preseason rankings are out and I can assure you one thing. There will be a bunch of different teams in the end of season rankings not on the preseason rankings.
